Suggest area with scantily clad women may slow the bikers enough for the pace car to keep up!

What are confirmed numbers like now?

What the story with cameras on bikes... seen these action cameras on net that use SD cars.. anyone recommend anything I wanna catch some of the trip and maybe some of my inevitable crash and subsequent bike kicking fury!!

great camera for £80 did what i wanted, the only problem i had was changing the memory card every hour.  i think they do a better one now that last longer and better qaulity.  iv posted a few vids on utube under cannonball bike run morocco if you want to check out the qaulity

Actually that was an ex-Sebastian Loeb full works WRC rally car that we'd dressed up to look like a knackered, cheapo, pile of shit rental car. You know, the type of hire car you get given when some oily con-man drives you half way across Marrakech from the airport to some hell-hole and you're surprised to see it looks absolutely nothing like the picture or spec you had ordered online from Avis.  The type you get given when you have no time to complain because it's already dark and you have 550kms to drive alone  through the night across Morrocco to catch up with the Cannonball   and all because the stupid US Embassy retain your passport and you miss the start of the biggest event of the year because of it  Yeah, we made it look like that kind of car. Convincing wasn't it?

And of course the only reason it wasn't at the front was because Nick was driving. Still, it seemed to spend most of the week in front of that funny looking orange bike from Austria

This seems to be the latest and greatest thing on the market:

http://www.goprocamera.com/index.php?area=2&productid=30

It comes out at the end of the month and I've got one on order so I'll be testing it to see how it performs.

It's the world's smallest full 1080p HD video cam and takes a 32Gb card and can record up to 9 hours
on a single card (4.5 hours in full HD mode) although the battery only lasts for 2.5 hours constant
recording so a spare battery may be in order (or recharge it at lunch)

I've seen footage recorded on it and it looks totally amazing - not the usual grainy stuff you get from
the little pencil cams and it's 16:9 widescreen with a wide angle lens. It can record in a protective,
waterproof case which also helps reduce the wind-noise that ruins a lot of footage.
It takes 5Mp stills too!

Not sure what it sells for in Europe but in the US it's $299 although I can get them for $220 if
anyone wants me to bring one along for them. I'll keep you posted.

I thinking about getting a GoPro Hero motorsports or the voip 1,5 (video cams)
Not sure yet.
Voip seams better quality (and more expensive) but I'm liking the sucktion cup mount thingie on the gp pro. Easy to swich location/angle of the cam
and should stay on even in "Collin"speeds.

Here's an idea for a camera "car" - Cirbin V13R
Here seen driven by a bold midget so "mini me" can relate also

I wouldn't trust the suction-cup mount alone - it's supposed to be rated up to 130mph but even then I'd back it up with a safety tie and / or stacks of duct tape.

And the Cannonball vodka didn't work out so well - we kept drinking it before we sold any.....

We have tested it on a GSX-R up to 308km/h and no problem.
The roads weren't as bumpy as in morocco thou and the surface was smooth and cleaned before atachment.
Should be ok for the trip.

308kph?? Does the camera actually see anythin at that speed?  Think I have sorted now anyways.. I'll attach it to the bike rather than my helmet though..

So anyways how many we got.. I got two more interested one of which is more or less definite as he tried to give me cash to book it for him! Told him it was a bad idea as the S1000RR BMW comes out this week and that would make a nice deposit..

Looks like it'll be my trusty ZX9 making the trip.. unless I can find me a unrestricted ZX12 somewhere....

Looks like we've got a Team of 4 entered from Team Scotland so that puts the current number of entries into the high 20's now, the more the merrier though!
